Use the seasonal overview to move through the year. The imagery and monthly rhythm match the German edition.

How to use a month-by-month gardening calendar
A month is a planning window, not a fixed sowing instruction. In late winter, review seed stock, tools and sheltered growing space. Before spring sowing, consider soil temperature and how long seedlings may need to stay protected. Frost-sensitive plants should not move outdoors merely because a calendar month has changed.
During warmer months, adjust watering to the weather, pot size, soil and crop stage. Check beneath the surface before watering: damp topsoil and dry roots, or the reverse, can lead to misleading impressions. Harvest regularly where appropriate and inspect plants for pests and nutrient stress rather than waiting for a major problem.
In autumn, focus on healthy harvests, suitable planting windows, leaf management and frost preparation. In winter, protect vulnerable containers, check stored crops and plan rotations for the following year. You can explore particular crops in the plant profiles, which explain their preferred growing conditions.
The editorial seasons used by Gartenjahr are primarily oriented toward Germany and comparable temperate climates. Other regions can have very different frost dates and seasonal timing. The German monthly guide contains the more detailed seasonal tasks; this English overview is not a universal planting timetable.
